Brew York was born out of two friends’ passion (some would say obsession) for beer and brewing. Creating Brew York was the realisation of a long lived dream to build a brewery in the centre of York where the experience and location is as enjoyable as the beer itself.

Our beer is produced in cask, keg & can and sold throughout the UK and also widely available internationally. Our original brewery is located within York’s historic city walls, on Walmgate, comprising of a very unique Tap Room with riverside beer garden right alongside the Brewhouse to showcase our beers at their freshest. There is also a 200 seat Beer Hall with over 40 taps of beers including cask ales and guest beers from all our friends in the industry. Along side this awesome line up we have an in-house kitchen that provides some of the best food in the area. Our new state of the art twin 50hl brew house along with 1,050hl fermentation & conditioning capacity, on the outskirts of York, is finally complete with the first brew planned in February 2021. We are looking at making even more of the great beers and exploring larger markets especially in exports.

We haven’t forgotten the city centre brewery, consisting of a 20hl Brewhouse and over 260hl in fermenting and conditioning capacity. The original brewhouse will be used for more bespoke, exciting and experimental brews plus a greater range of barrel ageing projects and spontaneous fermentation beers.
